“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. how was everyone’s chemistry atp paper 62??
It was kinda easy!!! 🙂 My went paper okay okay!!! What about yours
I think it wasn’t too bad but not too good either! It’s that kind of paper where you have no clue whether you did well or not! How did you find it?
For me it was okay. Just got stuck in one question..
The one which why gas formed at positive electrode has less volume than hydrogen??
What did you write for the test for octane
I wrote bromine water but it won’t work
But will I get one mark for it
awesome!!!!! for the first tym in my life!!!!!!!
it was good
hope this continues on to the next papers
dear igcse team
wats the penalty for not writing date at back of ict practical test
dont worry
i guess minus a mark
hi,
If a candidate got C in geography, english , french, physics, chemistry. D in ICT and F/G/U in maths. Will that candidate get a distinction, merit , pass, or fail?
distinction or merit shouldnt even be in that sentence… omg thats such a freaky question… :/
At how much can you get distinction or merit in Maths. I’m confident of about 195<=/ 200 in maths
fail!
Pass
What’s the best possible way to revise for Biology Paper 3 (Extended Tier) the day before the exam?
go online search for biology IGCSE notes and just look for the ones you like. or if you highlighted while you studied bio before go through the highlighted points. if you havnt done that then there is a summary box at the end of each chapter in the book. just go through each of the points. give it a good 4-5 hours. the more theory you do the better chances you have of getting A*. if you know the theory inside out then you can tackle any difficult question. 🙂 hope this helped. all the best!
Thanks!
Hey, just go over the syllabus. At least that’s what I’m doing. I think it’s that’s the best way if you have the time.
go through some of the hard topics, make sure you understand them, memorize the things you have to (e.g. the functions of different parts of the eye), and lastly if you still have time leaf through several past papers and look at the mark scheme

paper 42 math was easy peasy if you knew math! 🙂 my whole year group found it easy as we were taught properly in class on how to understand and tackle difficult questions(hoping for between 95 to 100)
yes same outcome from my batch. A*s for many
Atlast someone like me who thinks the paper was pretty easy.
what did u write for the histogram thing where you had to compare the two?
No wonder you guys thought the paper was easy…
Your standards are quite low, 100 out of 130 is pretty bad, considering that 30 MARKS are lost. Anyway, lets just jope that the threshold is low and we all end up with good grades
that’s actually very true, if every time I thought the exam was easy like hell and ended ip losing 30 marks which is my average ill fell bad about myself.
Ok since it went well for you do u think you can help me?
What did u get for( if u remember)
1) the rate for the whole distance Alan travels?
2) the area of the plant pot for the cone question
3) the graph a b and c?
4) the distance from the lighthouse for the bearing question?
5) the first probability question?
Please help I am dying to know how I did 🙂
for the plant pot question, I found the surface area of the entire cone curve the minused the curved area of the small cone. Then, I found the area of the circular base of the pot.
I dont remember the rate part but i dont think i got it correct.
The first probability question I dont really remember it but I remember finding the probability of the opposite and deducting it from 1.
As for the rest, graph a b and c and the bearing i dont know as well, i couldnt do the bearing question even though it looks simple with 2 marks.
yes exactly it was very easy I don’t get why were people making a big fuss of it was even easier than 2014 it have any sequences and probability was very simple. it’s good that other people found it easy cause I was starting to doubt myself like did I mess up so bad that it seemed easy!!!
Can you explain how you were supposed to do question 3 C about alans rate of fuel use.
ill type in the whole question so you can solve
On the first part of a journey, Alan drove a distance of x km and his car used 6 litres of fuel
The rate of fuel used by his car was 600/x litres per 100km
(a) Alan then drove..(x+20) km.. ok now i solved the next question which should answer 600/(x+20) litres/100km … i solved the next one with the quadratic .. x=100 or -80
c) Find the rate of fuel used by Alan’s car for the complete journey,GIve your answer in litres per 100km.
please help with this.. i know you have to use x=100 as it is positive
I also dont undertsand how to do the question where it asks to draw the line y=3x+1
the asks you to find what a,b and c are in the equation x^3 + ax^2 + bx + c = 0
