Marking IGCSE past exam papers practices

Procedures

  1. Choose your paper(s) for marking.
    (if you wish to send in more than 1 paper, please increase the quantity to the amount that you wish to send in)
  2. Keep your Order receipt no. – you will need this when you send in your paper(s) for marking.
  3. Follow the instructions on the instructions page to send in your past papers.
  4. For school homework or coursework assignment, please include the question paper, reading insert, and mention the subject code. The marking would follow the actual examination mark scheme.
  5. Work on the past papers as if you are in the exam hall. Set the timer by following the fixed number of hours on the exam papers. You can get any of your family members/friends to help you in the timing part.
  6. Write only the required number of answers.
    For example: between Descriptive or Narrative essay, please choose ONE. If you write both, we will only mark the first one.
  7. When you are done writing, transfer all your answers to Word document (for PC) / Pages (for Mac).
  8. If you wish to have 2 types of essays to be marked, for example one Descriptive essay and one Narrative essay, please increase the purchase quantity to 2 (during step 1) and choose 2 different past papers.
  9. There is only ONE marking per paper － there is no remark available. So work on your paper diligently before you submit for marking.
  10. You will receive your marked paper(s) within 5 working days.
    (Weekend for us is: Saturday and Sunday.)
  11. You may ask further question to clarify certain feedback given in your marked paper.
  12. If you need help to download past exam papers from the internet, just drop us a message along with your transaction ID/receipt number. We will help you to download them at no extra cost.

    I have a question, I’ve completed all of the current 0500 paper 1s that’s on the internet…I do not have any paper to practice for now, as I need a completely new paper for you guys to really assess my weaknesses as you mark it…any suggestions?

      We can help you get a full set of past exam papers. Many of our Mark Your Paper buyers purchase first and obtain a full set of past exam papers from us. Then, they work on the papers and submit them for marking.

      We strongly encourage you to purchase now, as the June exam series has already started. This way, you will still have ample time to learn how to improve your writing and score an A*.

        If so, could you’ll please state the evidence on the CAIE website so that I could show my local British Council…?

          To answer your question, candidates are permitted to bring highlighters into the exam room. However, please be aware that you are not allowed to use them in your answer scripts.

However, when you avail our Mark Your Paper service, you would receive your marked paper along with feedback on: your mistakes, suggestions to improve, the marks awarded for each question. This would help you see your progress and your readiness to sit for the actual exams.
