I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Skolatis has really helped me improve in chemistry and biology!”

As Cambridge has different examination periods such as during March, June, November…
If I am writing the February/March series in India, then which of the examination series past papers should I practice from ??
One of my teachers said to just do the March series past papers from previous years up to 2018, as each series has their papers different
So, should I also do the June and November past papers OR should I just do the March series past papers from previous years ??
As my exams are very near, I think I should just do the past papers from the previous March series…
Anyways, what’s your take ??
Hello Aynesh,
We suggest that you practice with latest past exam papers as they consist of the latest syllabus format and if the you still have time, continue with the older ones.
To help you with your scheduling, it is best that you start at exam date and work your schedule backwards. Make sure that you prepare for each exam over several days and don’t fill up the last few days too heavily.
We hope this helps.
So, I should also do June and November series as well ??
I think I should just do March ??
I’m confused…
Also, should I just do up to 2018 as I don’t have a lot of time left
Hello Aynesh,
We suggest that you answer the 2020 past exam papers (March and June) set since they follow latest syllabus format. Then continue with the previous March exam papers. It would also be better if you can answer up to 5 years of past papers. This is why we suggest our candidates to start their revision early so they will have sufficient time to answer past exam papers.
However if you don’t have enough time, answer the past papers that you can manage. In the end, you can only decide for yourself and what you feel is more appropriate for your exam preparations.
Don’t forget to take a deep breath, and to remain calm and stress- free during the preparation, writing, and even after the examination.
Thanks a lot
Um…I was going through the Biology past papers for the May/June series and saw that there were three papers for Paper 2, Paper 4 and Paper 6…0610/21,0610/22,0610/23 for Paper 2 and three papers as well for Paper 4 and Paper 6, respectively…
But for our actual examination, we will just write one Paper 2, Paper 4 and Paper 6…
So from 0610/21,0610/22,0610/23 which one should I attempt and the same goes for Paper 4 and Paper 6 ??
Hello Aynesh,
The numbers in the end of each paper are for different administrative zones. All the different time zones will have different papers but all papers follow the same syllabus.
You can find your administrative zone here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-exam-schedules
Hope this helps.
You are very much welcome, Aynesh.
Good luck with your exams.
Do I really, really have to solve Topic Questions for each topic in Science…
As like one Theory Paper takes like 1hr 20mins and one ATP Paper takes around 2hrs
Instead of liking wasting 10-14 hrs to solve, I can instead study…
As my Exams are near (Feb/March 2021)
Hi Aynesh,
If you feel that you do not have ample time to do topical questions, we suggest that you practice with past exam papers after you have covered the whole syllabus.
Along the way of studying, these exam model answers might help in learning how to write A* answers: https://www.skolatis.com/igcse-exam-resources/.
Thanks
I want to take psychology for college or university but the school I currently go to doesn’t have basic psychology or sociology to prepare me for the psychology major in college later on. Currently I’m taking english, math, geography, business, literature, global perspectives, and art. Are these enough to prepare for a psychology major?
Hi Mal,
There have been many different subjects required for all different courses in different universities. As such, we strongly suggest that you confirm your subjects with the university in accordance to what you want to pursue for further studies.
After finishing studying a topic (for eg: Reproduction in Biology) for the day, when should I start to revise it…
like after 4 weeks or for how long ??
Hello Aynesh,
You can do a topical revision after completing a topic and when you finish covering all the topics in the syllabus, you start practicing with past exam papers.
Practicing lots of past papers is the key to success. It will help you familiarise with the type of questions and it will be best if you work on it as if you are in an exam hall. Set the timer by following the fixed number of hours on the exam papers.
Pay attention to the most common mistakes you always seem to make. Make notes and revise them, so you can avoid making the same mistakes in your actual exam.
We hope this helps.
I hope so too!!

what subject should I take to get into a psychology college? I’m currently in grade 10 first semester studying math, English, accounting, business, travel&tourism, and art. Can these subject get me accepted to a psychology college? because I regret taking business but doesn’t want to change subject since it was too late.
Hello Lia,
There is quite a wide range for required subjects in psychology. You may consider: English, Maths, Psychology, Sociology, any of the science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). But we strongly suggest that you get final confirmation with the university as which subjects are needed.
My school doesn’t have any sociology or psychology subjects. Do you have any suggestion of what psychology major should I choose considering it’s too late to change my subjects to science? Do you think I can still take forensic or counseling psychology?
Hello Lia,
There have been many different subjects required for all different courses in different universities. As such, we strongly suggest that you confirm your subjects with the university in accordance to what you want to pursue for further studies.
