how many subjects can i take for o-level i want only 6 idk my school is saying theres a new rule we can’t take 6 subjects we have to take 7 subjects but then i don’t want so i want to make sure if the rules really changed in igcse

Not that we know. The minimum subjects required for Cambridge IGCSE are 5 subjects.

I noticed how many people usually take way more subjects than I plan on taking ,for example I’ve seen how some people get 9 or 8 A’s sometimes even 10. I was just wondering if taking only 6 subjects (three of the sciences, math, english and computer science) is enough. If it’s not, can you please advice me on what I should take (other common subjects people usually take)?

Taking more subjects is not going to add more benefits for you. You must obtain excellent grades for the subjects that you are taking. That is the most important thing.
Your chosen subjects are fine, they fulfil the minimum requirement. But it is still depending on what you want to study in the future, and whether these subjects are the ones universities require.
Hello igcse, I want to be a software designer in the future (but still taking science to keep my options open). By the way, what’s the difference between computer science and computer studies? Must i take both to be a software designer?

From the 2015 examination series, Computer Science (0478) will replace Computer Studies (0420). So, you only take Computer Science from now on.

I want to ask you about something important.
I did my IGCSE exams as you know and did well in them, I am studying for my AS level now. The only surprise that came in the way is that we are moving to Spain, Barcelona for good. And I am really worried about loosing my good achievement in the previous year. What do you think I should do? Is there a British school there? And if not, can I home study and then give my exams for collage?
What are the requirements if there is a British school?

Hi Dania,
You don’t have to worry. There are many international schools in Spain. If you can’t find any with British system, you can always do homeschooling.
As a homeschooler, you will then register yourself with any nearest British Council, and write your exam there. We would suggest you first locate any British Council in your new location, then pay a visit to them. Find out what are the subjects they offer in that area, the exam registration process, and due date.

Dania … That’s super cool that you’re moving to Spain !! My paternal grandfather is Spanish and we go there to visit him all the time. Don’t worry about school though, my cousins go to a British school there where they’re taught in English so you don’t have to learn Spanish 🙂 You’re gonna love it though …. Where are you from ?

English second language in comprehension should I answer as brief as possible so that i don’t exceed the answering space or should I answer in complete sentences ?
cause my school teachers says as brief as possible and my tuition teacher says in complete sentences each r saying these r cambridge rules and iam confused !!

Your answers should be as brief as possible. Your answers should constitute minimal but successful answers. You must make sure you have the correct wordings, as too much information lifted from the text may well include incorrect details which could negate the answer.
