I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. hi
can you suggest me how to get A* in my ICT and chemistry
Hello Khushkaran,
Start as early as possible. You can revise the subjects from the beginning. Highlight the important facts that you think could be on the test (you should refer to the latest syllabus on what is expected during exams here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/). You can then use the past exam papers (https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/) as your revision. Start with the latest papers as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older ones date back from 5 to 10 years. Then, revise on the most common mistakes that you always seem to make. Pay attention to the most common mistakes you always seem to make. Make notes and revise them, so you can avoid making the same mistakes in your actual exam.
Lastly, DO NOT wait until the very last minute to do your revision.
Hi again ,
I did not score well in one subject for igcses how can i get good grades in second time please help .
Hi Khalid,
We suggest that you start as early as possible. You can revise the subjects from the beginning. HI IGCSE
IF i am studying and going over the past paper will it help me for my OCT/NOV Exam
Hi Khalid,
Yes. Practising lots of past papers is the key to success.
Hello Cambridge Team,
Thanks for all the help you offer IGCSE students like me academically, I can’t stop appreciating you all for everything especially the past questions. But I’m a little bit confused on my career choice, I love history most especially, physics and design and technology also but the school i transferred to doesn’t offer history, my subjects are biology, addmaths, geography, maths english, ict, enterprise. I’m basically planning on studying architectural technology alongside with interior design. My questions are: Do I need history and chemistry? If I need history how possible is it that I can write it for my IGCSEs coming up next year oct/nov? With my subject combination is there a chance I can venture into robotics or mechanical engineering in case I change my mind in future?
-Preshy 15 currently in year 11. Waiting for your reply. Thanks in advance.
Hello Precious,
Thank you for your compliment. However, we would like to stress that we are not ?Cambridge?, nor CIE.
You should decide on the subject based on what you want study in the university. In your case, if your planning on studying Architectural Technology, we suggest that you check on the university?s entry requirement. In this way you have 100% confirmation on the needed subjects.
Or if you?re planning to take up Mechanical Engineering with your current subject combination, we still suggest that you check with your preferred university for their admission requirement. All universities have their own set of requirements.
Lastly, since you?ve already registered with a formal school, you ought to follow the subject options in the school. However, you can register to sit for a particular subject privately. You must find your local British Council or another exam centre to register for the subject. It is best to check if they offer that particular subject and also check on the exam dates, to make sure this subject does not conflict with other subjects.
Thanks for your help, I sincerely appreciate it.
You’re welcome!
do you have any tips on studying sociology?
Hello,

just make sure you learn all you’re key terms, and do extra research on case studies and experiments.
Make you’re answers detailed and full of different points, don’t elaborate on only one point, this wont get you any marks 🙂
lastly, on 8 and 15 mark questions make sure to write an awesome conclusion to get into the top bands.
good luck!
Hi can you guide me on how to revise for economics and how to solve discuss and analyze type questions? Thanks!
Hi Ethan,
We suggest that you develop data handling techniques. Familiarize yourself with the variety of forms in which economic data can be presented. Learn to interpret statistical tables, understand trends and relationship, and illustrate diagram, and analyze graphs.
Furthemore, always use the extract provided. Do not rely mainly on your general knowledge and understanding to answer some of these questions. While correct information may have been provided, it will not score any marks because the assessment objective is to make use of relevant information from the extract.
Dear IGCSE Centre,
do you give a specific time for each exam that will be done this month and November?
Hi Mirasha,
Please follow the instructions here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-exam-schedules/ and from there you’ll find out your exam timetable.
