“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. The new syllabus is similar with the previous Extended syllabus. You may want to download the Specimen paper to familiarise yourself with the new format: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/
These A* Model Answers could help you in this, and you are able to see what is an A* answer like:

Hello there,
If the degree of accuracy is not specified in the question, and the answer isn’t exact, give the answer to three significant figures. This is best explained with examples.
1.076 ➔ 1.08
2345.07 ➔ 2340
Furthermore, currency should be rounded to 2 decimals while for angles, give it to 1 decimal place.

will i lose marks if these steps are not taken into consideration cause in ms they specify this or this or this for eg: 2340 or 2340.07 etc
Hello there,
It is better to follow what is specified in the question. Keep in mind that if the degree of accuracy is not specified, and the answer isn’t exact, give the answer to three significant figures.
If, for example, the answer is 132.7cm, what should I write? 132.7cm or 133 cm;
Sometimes in the MS, the answer would be 132.7 and sometimes 133
Hello AbhijeetMankani,
It will depend on what is specified in the question. Also, don’t forget to show your working as it can gain partial marks for the method.

Hello,
I wanted to know when the Feb/march 2020 papers will be open to us to download.
Thanks for all the help!
Hello Bob,
It can be anytime after the results are released. Thank you.
hey, bro, I’m giving feb-march currently what do you mean
When we can download the feb/march series to use as past papers?
Were they easy what subjects did you take?
Hello Bob,
The February-March 2020 exam series would be available anytime after the results are released.
Hi,
Basically in maths, if our answer is a decimal we round it to 3 significant figures ?
Like 12.45 to 12.5.

Yes, you are right.

Hello IGCSE Centre!
I am giving my Math 0580 exams… If degree of accuracy is not specified, then answers are to be given to 3 significant figures, right? And also, I wanted to know that will I lose marks if I give non exact answers to more than 3 significant figures( for example, 2 decimal places)?
Thanks!!
Hello Anushka,
Yes, if the degree of accuracy is not specified in the question, and if the answer is not exact, give the answer to three significant figures. For example, if your answer is 12.298, the answer should be given in three significant figures. Thus you should write your answer as 12.3.
Upon checking the Examiner’s Report, this is one of common errors students make. Some candidates are giving answers to less than 3 significant figures without a more accurate answer being seen. If a candidate has shown working they are likely to lose only one mark but those candidates showing no working may not be awarded any marks.
Thanks a lot!
Also, is it an issue if I give my answer to greater degree of accuracy than 3 significant figures?
Hello Anushka,
We suggest that you follow the 3 significant figures for your final answer.

hi,
I was quite confused on when to convert my answers in maths to 3 significant figures
Pls, could you guide me ?
Regards,
Bob

What do you mean by non exact ?
And when the answer is in money do we have to give it to 2 d.p?
Hello Bob,
This is best explained with examples.
