Hi i just wanted to know if CAIE is the same as igcse and if no what is to become to students who are sitting for igcse in may/june. Thank you.

CAIE is the exam board and one of their exams includes IGCSE. According to the latest CAIE announcement, they will no longer run their international examinations in the May/June 2020 series in all countries. This is because of the extended school closures into May and June, making it impossible for many of the schools to hold examinations.
For candidates who registered for the June exam series, CAIE is currently working with schools to assess students’ achievements using the best available evidence and that students will receive a grade and a certificate from Cambridge International.
If you are concerned with the possibility of the unfair grading process, we strongly suggest that you withdraw your June entry and re-enter it in the November exam series. This will be beneficial for you in the long run because your certificate will reflect your true capability. If you wish to move your entry, please inform your school/exam centre and they can help you in this process.

As the latest announcement of the CAIE, they say that May/June 2020 series examinations have been canceled, so I want to know-how will caie work out work results for the May/June 2020 please let me know because I’m applying to the university next year.

CAIE will be working with schools to assess students’ achievements using the best available evidence. Students will receive a grade and a certificate from Cambridge International, given the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their programmes of study.
They are also talking to universities worldwide, and they are factoring these unprecedented circumstances into admissions decisions, so students can continue with their education journeys as soon as possible.
If you wish for a certificate that shows your true capability, we suggest that you withdraw your June entry and re-enter in the November exam series. Your school/exam centre can guide you in this process.
If you’re concerned about the unfairness of grading, we suggest you write to CAIE and address this issue. Many parents and students have addressed this concern with us.

Mark scheme is the marking guideline examiners used to mark your papers. It does not include all possible methods, so if you use a method not included in the mark scheme but it is accurate and relevant, then the examiner will still award marks for the appropriate parts of the working – unless the questions asks you to use a specific method.
You can also download the Examiner Report (https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/). You can study what are the needed points to gain marks. You could also learn the common mistakes candidates made during the exam.

I’ve been using your site for about 3 years now and I’ve seen really good results i did the private IGCSE Exam and I was astonished by my result, particularly in English, I had 88 in English (so close to an A*) and I had a B in Chemistry.
Anyways the point is that I’ve solved all the new IGCSE English past papers from 2012-date, I need more practice questions but I think solving questions from older years aren’t going to be exactly helpful. Do you have any other questions (probably model question) that I can get hold of whether in hard copy or soft copy?

I would like to know whether there are any restrictions on using pen to mark the points on a graph in maths or any other subjects when drawing a graph. Also can we draw straight line to connect points on a curve in other subjects unless specified to draw a smooth curve.

It is better to use a pencil when drawing diagrams or completing graphs; this means that you can change your answer more easily if you have made a mistake. Furthermore, straight lines should be ruled and curves should be drawn freehand with a smooth curve.
