I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Skolatis has really helped me improve in chemistry and biology!”

Any tips for history paper 4?
Hey,
I am also writing History Paper 4 and am really nervous. Feel unprepared :/
I am doing Germany so i don’t know if that’ll be of use to you.
Study example essays (Stressemann years, Why did WR Survive prior to Stressemann & How Did Hitler become Chancellor in 1933?) Also, clue yourself on the Case Studies like Young People & Woman as they could ask something like Goebbels was responsible for Hitler becoming a dictator and then you compare usefulness of propaganda to other things like how they indoctrinated children, etc. to gain full power.
I did German depth study too ahahaha,,
How was your paper? Did you do question 3 or 4?
Hey,
I did Question 3 on Weimar- wasn’t expecting it to be too easy but am doubting my answer and structure LOL
Question 4 was including all the case studies and I had no time for that. History was my last exam for the day and my hand was aching by the end of it because I wrote ICT, Business & History with 1 hour breaks between each paper :/
How do you think it went?
Oh wow, what a combination!
I did question 3 as well – but I’m scared I didn’t connect many of my points back to the question.. yeah and my structure was kind of messed up. I did an alternating argument so by the end of it, it was quite confusing.
It’s so unfair they introduced these stupid 40 mark questions for our year!
Hi, any tips for biology?
any tips for business? (:
learning is pretty much the main thing to do good in business and by doing past papers you’ll know the format of writing
try this website ..it might help— https://igbusiness.blogspot.ae/?m=1
hey,
For paper 3, you definitely need to focus on the really structured topics like Reproduction and Ecology because their questions can be very intimidating!
Also, Transport is very important but their questions are fine if you know the topic very well.
There is always a question about inheritance with the cross diagram which you need to practice since it can be a bit tricky.
Nervous and respiratory system questions are also very common but they are all kinda similar only different situations.
Paper 1 is not very hard and if you study well for paper 3 then you can definitely do in well paper 1.
Right now I suggest you solve past papers and learn the answers from the marking scheme because sometimes in bio you know the answer and it is scientifically correct but your interpretation is wrong and rejected from the scheme.
Best of Luck! 😉
Thank you so much! You’ve been super helpful! Good luck!
hey guys, any tips on the ICT theory exam tomorrow?
I’m really scared, it was never really my thing!
Definitely study
– validation and verification
– Different types of implementation and the waterfall model (system analysis)
– The reasons why sensors and computers are better in experiments
– Practice with MS Logo [Floor turtle question]
– Make sure you refresh your excel memory but that will be easy for you having done the practical already if you have
– Different types of storage, where they are used and their advantages and disadvantages
– Most of it is common sense just relate to real life examples or look around the room when in the exam. It is not a tough paper 🙂
These things come up every year. If you have a textbook just read in it. I also found this website quite useful: https://www.igcseict.info/theory/
Good luck! You will be fine 😉
That’s great, exactly what I would have assumed. However, I’ve never really understood validation and verification. Could anyone give me a pretty brief explanation on what they are? and their differences?
Thanks 🙂
Verification – Making sure the data is the right data
Validation – Making sure the data is sensible
Dont wrry you’ll do fine 🙂 ict is pretty easy
Thanks Lucas, that really helped. 🙂
hopefully I do Aiman!
dont worry ICT is all about memorization if u can do that (unlike me… 🙁 )
I am SO bad at memorizing!
high five!!!!!! me too!!!!!! but it went well
ICT is not hard, if you apply to real life. Don’t rely on notes blindly, understand and relate to real life and you will ace the paper! Good luck
I did variant 2 today and except for the first question and a couple, it went very well. But I have to admit that the paper was different from the previous past papers.
Oh dont worry i did the ICT practical it was damn wasy just do some basics 🙂 and all the formulaes and the main steps thats all believe me it is easy so just chill B|
Why do u think about the grade boundaries for ict??
I have a huge question. In the IGCSE grade boundaries option paper 1 , paper 3 and alternative paper 6 the grade thresholds say that the syllabus is out of 200 but that syllabus is actually out of 160?? what’s the deal with that. thanks!
I think that the mark you get is then converted to become out of 200, I’m not sure though.
yes the raw mark is out of 160 but, when you get your raw mark for example 145 or any other mark you will have to multiply it by 1.25
Why do businesses hold inventories? 0450
Why do businesses hold inventories?
To ensure there is always enough inventory to satisfy customers demands and to deal with uncertainty in deliveries of supplies..
THANKUU!
To create a buffer against uncertainties in supply & demand
To take advantage of lower purchasing and transportation cost associated with high volume
To take advantage of economies of scale associated with manufacturing products in batches
To build up seasonal demand for promotional sales
To accommodate product flowing from one location to another (work in process or in transit)
To exploit speculative opportunities for buying and selling commodities and other products
