I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Skolatis has really helped me improve in chemistry and biology!”

Hi does anyone study a subject called environmental management 0680
Hi Nathan,
One of our students shared these tips for Environmental Management (0680). You might want to check them out below:
1. You need to know the content by heart. Everything from the Lithosphere to the Biosphere should be embedded in your brain indefinitely.
2. Revise. Keep revising. You never know when you’re going to forget one crucial detail. Often in exams, we get questions from topics we neglected.
3. Past papers are your best friend — practice, practice, practice. I cannot stress this point enough. Revise and practice- that should be your cycle.
4. Definitions. The Cambridge people are a big fan of catching you by surprise. And in a subject such as EM, you need to know how to define a concept concisely. Don’t neglect these.
5. Graphs and calculations. Brush up on your math. You will get a question related to math GUARANTEED.
We hope you find this helpful. Good luck!
Hi there,
What is the registration deadline for 2022 may and june examination session? And for october and november?
Also choosing how many subjects is the best?
Thank you so much 🙂
Hi there!
Thank you for your message. Please read our answers below:
1. The deadline for first-time entries is February 21 for the June exam series, while September 21 is the final deadline for the November exam series. For more information, please visit this page: https://skolatis.com/exam-registration-dates/
2. Candidates typically take at least 5 IGCSE subjects to gain entrance to top universities worldwide. We suggest that you choose your subjects depending on what you want to pursue in your further studies.
We hope this helps! 🙂
One more question,
can you take a few subjects you think that are easier, during one exam session, for example in june, and then do more revision and take the rest in november?
thanks
Hi again,
Yes, you can spread out your subjects. It is good to split the subjects into different examination series to have full concentration in fewer subjects in one go.
Just make sure to take your IGCSE exams within 13 months. Usually, universities/colleges would accept combining results from separate examination series within a certain period, for example, within 13 months or 24 months.
Please check out our online courses to help you with your revision. If you sign up this December, you can use our special holiday discount coupon codes to get up to 20% discount on the revision courses. Please visit this page for more information: https://skolatis.com/revision-courses/.

Hi IGCSE team!
I have two questions regarding English as a First Language (Code: 0500). Your response would be highly appreciated.
1) I am aware that abiding by the word limit is very important in summary writing. However, by exceeding the word limit in other questions, for example writer’s effect or even discursive writing from Paper 2, would the points I write beyond the word limit be marked?
2) Kindly suggest suitable time allocations for questions 1, 2 and 3 from Paper 1 out of the total 2 hours given.
Thank you.
Hi there!
Thank you for your message. Please kindly read our answers below:
1. The examiner will mark the points beyond the word limit in the other writing practices. However, you have to make sure you can finish all the writing on time. Our advice is not to write too much. Aim for quality rather than quantity. This means focusing more on writing excellent English rather than a long essay.
2. When allocating time, pay attention to the word limit for each question. It will guide you on what is expected and possible within the time limit.
Another tip is to check how many marks there are for each question. It will help you judge how much to write for your answer and the number of points you will need to include. For example, a question with six marks expects you to offer more than a question with only one mark.
We hope this helps! You might want to check out our English revision course. After each topic, there is a writing practice, and you can submit your writing for marking. You will receive your marked paper along with feedback on your mistakes and suggestions to improve.
If you sign up this December, you can use our special holiday discount coupon codes to get up to 20% discount on the revision courses. Please visit this page for more information: https://skolatis.com/revision-courses/.
