I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Hii
Can you please tell me what the pass mark is for Maths?
Hi Rainberry,
You will have to refer to the grade threshold. Every year, the exam questions have slight differences on the level of difficulty. In order to provide equivalent A* achieving chance, the threshold is used to determine the grades for that year. Kindy download the grade threshold here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/
grade C is considered to be a core grade what does core grade mean
Hello Nathan,
Core syllabus cover minimum required syllabus. For ?Core? curriculum, the maximum grade entitled is Grade C. You will NOT be able to obtain Grade A*, A or B.
If you wish to achieve Grade A* or A, please go for ?Extended? curriculum. Extended syllabus covers both Core syllabus and more, it is wider than Core syllabus.
hi, igcse center do we need to get an ice certificate in order to persuade with as and a levels also if I take only 5 subjects in the Feb march series [english maths physics chemistry biology] will I get an ice award?
Hi Kapil,
ICE Award is not a mandatory certificate. ICE Award is simply a group award, for candidates who want to obtain an achievement with a wider range of subjects selection. It has no connection with AS/A-Level. Please read more here: https://www.skolatis.com/what-is-cambridge-ice/
If you would like to get an ICE Award, you have to register for ICE Award during your exam registration. If you did not register for ICE Award, you are not able to claim the award after that.
Cambridge ICE is awarded to candidates who pass in at least seven Cambridge IGCSE subjects, including two from Group 1 and one from each of Groups 2 to 5. The seventh subject may be chosen from any of the syllabus groups. As such, you did not meet the ICE Award requirement.
hey what to improve in economics
like actual tips
not just something like sTuDy MoRe
like real tips
i hope you understand
btw
love your website super cool
Hello Randy,
Thank you for your kind words.
We suggest that you develop data handling techniques. Familiarize yourself with the variety of forms in which economic data can be presented. Learn to interpret statistical tables, understand trends and relationship, and illustrate diagram, and analyze graphs.
Furthermore, always use the extract provided. Do not rely mainly on your general knowledge and understanding to answer some of these questions. While correct information may have been provided, it will not score any marks because the assessment objective is to make use of relevant information from the extract.
Lastly, practice, practice and practice. Answering past papers help and you can learn from the mark scheme. Download the past papers here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/
hi igcse
Could you please tell me the tips o achieve A*s for my coming igs this may june!!!!
Hi Lein,
We suggest that you prepare for your exams as early as possible. You can revise the subjects from the beginning. Highlight the important facts that you think could be on the test (you should refer to the latest syllabus on what is expected during exams here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/). You can then use the past exam papers (https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/) as your revision. Start with the latest papers as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older ones date back from 5 to 10 years. Then, revise on the most common mistakes that you always seem to make. Pay attention to the most common mistakes you always seem to make. Make notes and revise them, so you can avoid making the same mistakes in your actual exam.
You might be interested in our online revision course. The revision course provides video tutorial, revision timetable, downloadable exam-style practices, common mistakes candidates make during the exams, and also examiners? advice. Our next revision course will be in March-April 2019. The registration will open one month before the revision course starts. We suggest that you subscribe to our newsletter so you won?t miss our announcement once the registration starts. Please kindly find out the details here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/
You may also want to check out our exam model answers. Many students scored A* by copying the style of the answers. Please check them out here: https://www.skolatis.com/igcse-exam-resources/

i am facing difficulty in accounts and i am even giving my igs this year i need some tips or like any kind of ideas that i can improve in accounts
Hi Rupom,
With Accounting, you?ll need a lot of practice.
1. Learn and understand the key concepts and formulas. Familiarise/memorise the key equations/formulas (refer to the latest syllabus on what is expected: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/).
2. Do revision based on the latest syllabus and practice with the latest past exam papers (https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/). Pay attention to the most common mistakes you always seem to make. Make notes and revise them, so you can avoid making the same mistakes in your actual exam.
Tips:
Make sure that you use the information given in the question. The data provided is there for a purpose.
Use accounting terminology in your answers as much as possible.
Plan your answers. If ledger accounts or financial statements are required, think carefully about how these should be presented before you attempt to actually write your answer. If the question is a theory question, think about the points you need to include. Plan the order of your answer so that it is clear, concise and not repetitive. Quality is better than quantity.
When you are asked to comment on some figures, results or ratios do not simply repeat these figures. You are expected to interpret these figures and results and use them to support any recommendations or advice
i wanted to ask you if you publish our results online on this website??? because it gets difficult for us as we all be excited on he day of result….
Hi Ahaana.
You may have mistaken us as CIE. CIE is the exam board. But you can actually view your results online. You may get your username and password from your school / exam centre. Please read here: https://www.skolatis.com/frequently-asked-questions-about-igcse-exam-results/
Dear Cambridge,
I am currently having problems with chemistry and I wanted to do two science instead. i spoke to my teachers about it and the insisted that i do combined science. this is limiting my opportunities cause i cant do any of the three science in a level. What should i do?
Hi Annabelle,
Thank you for writing in but for your information, we are not Cambridge nor CIE. But to answer your question, if you wish to pursue further education related to science, you do need science subjects. We suggest that you continue to do two sciences instead.
We may be able to help you with your Chemistry problems. We have online revision courses. These had helped numerous students to score A*. Please kindly find out the details here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/.
