I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Skolatis has really helped me improve in chemistry and biology!”

Hi Divanshu,
Thank you for your kind words. We wish you well on your exams.
hi igcse team,
I wanna just know that what is the difference between math extended and core?
I listening many students says that core is easier than extended is that true?
Hi Sara,
The Core curriculum in each subject is within the ability range of a large majority of students. It provides a full overview of the subject and is targeted at students expected to achieve grades C to G.
The Extended curriculum, made up of the Core curriculum and the Supplement, has been designed for the more academically able and leads naturally into higher education or professional training. It is targeted at those expected to achieve grades A* to E.
hi,
now I am the third time because I didn’t score well, and this time I scared I just have 2 months I will be doing business studies and I need to score well this time please help.
Hi Yousef,
Here are some tips for you: Demonstrate the application of knowledge and concepts using the given scenario. This doesn?t mean simply referencing the business name. Analyse the issues faced and make suitable recommendations as to what this particular business should do. Always use the information provided in the case study or question stem as a guide in considering what to write.
Please someone help me in this matter
So I am taking IGCSE BIOLOGY (0610), and often when checking my answers for long questions(5 to 7 marks) in Paper 41 Theory Extended, the mark scheme states about 14-18 points.
So do I have to write down ALL the mentioned points or SOME of them..the mark scheme DOESNT say (Any of 4) or so..
So please advice me as to whether I need to write down all points or according to mark
( eg. 6 points for 6 marks and so on)
Hope an answer from IGCSE CENTRE
Hi Naveed,
The number of marks is usually a clue to how many different points are needed. For example, if a question has six marks allocated to it, six pieces of information are needed. However, each point has to be accurate!
You can also learn from the reading the Examiner?s Report here. You can use them to study what are the needed points to gain marks. You could also learn the common mistakes candidates made during the exam.
for business i usually pass the lines given because the lines are normally not enough but i am really scared if the scanner will be ale to pass the things i wrote after the lines given to me
Hello there,
Most of the exam scripts are scanned and marked by the examiners in their computer. There is no penalty for going beyond the lines, however, you are risking your answers not fitting into the scanned screen. If this happens, you will lose marks as the examiners won?t be able to see your full answers.
Alternatively, you may write on the blank pages provided within the answer sheet. Any blank pages that are used by a candidate in the examinations are scanned and marked as long as you properly label it.
i got 15 A* and 3 A . thanks to you
Hello Praveen.A.
Congratulations! We’re happy to be part of your accomplishment.
Can I get some free resources to improve my English
Hi Pavitra,
The most important things you need to do are: read a lot and write a lot. We can?t stress enough of ?read a lot?. By reading, you will gain tremendous knowledge on how to phrase your sentences, types of vocabulary, style, etc? Besides reading, you ought to practise writing as well. You have to put to use what you have learnt. Practise with the latest past exam papers (https://igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/)
Kindly read these articles to help you with your writing:
https://www.skolatis.com/9-powerful-tips-to-score-in-writing/
https://www.skolatis.com/how-to-write-a-summary/
Hi, I know you have said previously that we are risking the examiner not seeing some of what we write in the exam by writing below the lines but does this apply if I write in the space provided between the first and second question on a page? Thanks
Hello there,
As long as it it is within the space provided (and if it is properly labeled), then the examiner would be able to follow it.
