I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Hello igcse team
could you please help me how to get good grades in business studies becuase i failed at the first time, i wanna score atleast B this time plase help.
Hello Mohamed,
The key to get good grades is to practice, practice, and practise. Start doing your revision by understanding what is expected of you by downloading the latest syllabus here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-surebjects-syllabuses. Then practice with the latest past exam papers. Start with the latest paper as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older one date back from 5 to 10 years. Then, revise on the most common mistake you always seem to make.
Here are some tips on answering the paper:
Demonstrate the application of knowledge and concepts using the given scenario. This doesn’t mean simply referencing the business name. Analyse the issues faced and make suitable recommendations as to what this particular business should do. Always use the information provided in the case study or question stem as a guide in considering what to write.
Hope this helps.
For alternative to practical, how should I draw the graphs?
Should I use the full graph and how should I find a suitable range?
Hello Mia,
When plotting a graph it is important to choose the scales so that the plots occupy more than half of the graph grid. Careless, rushed graph plotting can lose several marks. You should always use a sharp pencil and plot small, neat, accurately placed crosses. Then draw a neat thin best-fit line.
Hope this helps.
can we write in black pen
Hi there,
Yes. Candidates must write their answers legibly in black or dark blue ink. Candidates should be warned that pale blue ink is often illegible. Red or green ink must not be used.
Are we allowed to write in blank ink becuase I wrote all my papers in blank ink and today one of the teacher told us not to write in blank ink.
Hello there,
You may use black or dark blue ink to write your answers. On the other hand, soft pencil (type B or HB) must be used for multiple choice tests. Pencils or pens in other colours may be used for diagrams and maps only if indicated on the question paper.
I wrote my candidate number in a black pen and after that, the teacher told me to switch to a blue pen is that fine??
Hi there,
That should not be a problem. Dark blue pens are allowed. Just remember to write legibly.
Hi IGCSE,
I would like to know if the IGCSE ICT PRACTICAL PAPERS [PAPER 2/ PAPER 3] (FROM 2020) have theory questions in the practical papers.
As the syllabus states that ‘Candidates must demonstrate the practical skills relevant to sections 11-16’.
In the previous syllabus, it stated that ‘Candidates must have relevant knowledge on Sections 1-10″
So does this mean there will be no theory questions in the practical papers? (There was no theory question the Specimen Papers).
(I will be appearing for the May/June Examinations and I would also like some tips on Paper 1 (Theory) as I have some difficulty in learning that)
Please confirm and clarify my doubt about there being no theory questions in
Paper 2/Paper 3
Thank You.
Hello there,
We suggest that you download the Specimen paper here https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-past-exam-papers/ so you will be able to familiarise with the new question format.
For Paper 1, do not provide generic answers when the question requires in-depth answer. Provide response that relates to the scenario or content of the question. You must give more than a statement in your answer by expanding on the points made. Justification and discussion of the points is also essential. Lastly, do not write brand names. It is clearly stated on the front page of the examination paper ‘No marks will be awarded for using brand names of software packages or hardware.’
Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot IGCSE.
I checked the Specimen Papers for ICT practical and there was not theory questions in it. So does that mean that there is no theory in practical in our syllabus for June 2020?
no theory in febmarch i completed ict
AAGAM Jain how was the Feb/Mar 2020 paper?
is 0 an integer please answer yes or no
hey im writing igcse f/m 2020 right now. have been practicing a whole lot from this website since last year, thank u for ur resources!
i just have one question.
i am expecting 6 A*/A , one B and one D. i have applied for my ICE certificate.
will i get a distinction with the above grades??
Hi Dani,
Thank you so much for your kind words.
If you take more than the minimum of seven subjects required to qualify for ICE Award, you must fulfil the entry requirements for Cambridge ICE (passes in seven subjects, covering the five IGCSE subject groups and including two different languages), your seven best results, irrespective of subject or group, will be used to calculate your Cambridge ICE grade.
Hello,
Could you please let me know how to start answering my question paper for business studies paper 1 and paper 2 ,because my exam is approching in 3 months so that i can start practicing from now.
Thank you!
Hello Jassim,
We suggest that you download the subject syllabus here: https://www.skolatis.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/ to understand what is expected of you. Then start with the latest paper as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older one date back from 5 to 10 years. Revise on the most common mistake you always seem to make.
