I’ve learned advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me!
“I am really enjoying Skolatis! It is very helpful. I feel that the way you teach the subjects are very helpful and aid in helping people learn more complicated things. For example I’m a lot ahead in chemistry and biology. I’ve learned many more advanced things much faster than a teacher could have taught me it. Skolatis has really helped me improve in chemistry and biology!”

anyone do the international mathematics paper 41 ?? How did you feel about it?
i did paper 42 and it was very tough…how was paper 41 ?
opps, sorry, i did 0580 maths :)))
oops Edward :))
41 was very easy, probably only lost 10 marks at most. 21 as well and 61 was tooooo easy for a paper 6. I have the feeling this might be the easiest year yet. haha I feel sorry for those who did 0580 variant 2!
41 was lengthy
not easy too
Dear IGCSE Centre,
in my exam I wrote the correct answer but I crossed it out and wrote the wrong one, is there any way that the cie will see my crossed out mark and consider it as correct?
Hi Dean,
As far as we know, it will be marked, if it is still legible (provided you didn’t scribble it into a black patch). But to be 100% sure, you could write to CIE and ask them about this specifically.
Thank you so much.
Dear IGCSE,
It’s my third time appearing for igcse physics !!!!!! I feel something wrong with your correction
how ever i wanted to re-check my paper but unfortunately time was up 🙁
Hello Abdel,
We do not understand what “correction” that you are referring to? If you want to have your paper re-mark, please write to CIE directly. Their website is: http://www.cie.org.uk
Cambridge International Examination board are responsible for correcting the exams not this website, yes their name is IGCSE center but they have nothing to do with the correction or deciding your grade

i guess its the right one
it was easy yeah?
Any tips for the physics paper 31? I have it on wednesday as well as Chemistry 31 on monday..
for physics make sure u know ALLL formulas
and use common sense
thats all u nee 🙂
i suck at chem so idk
i need tips lol 😛
Hey,
Are there any websites on the internet where I’m able to see the grade thresholds for previous years. The sites I have found now are quite confusing to interpret.
Hi Faiq,
You can just download from the folders above. They are all there 🙂 …
so guys…
any tips for chemistry… I’m TOTALLY lost!!!!!!!! got no idea what to do….!!!!!!!!!! please be awesome and help me!!!!!!!!!
keep doing past papers, it honestly helps! learn the metal extraction of iron and aluminum. the basic oxygen tank. reactions in organic chem (alkane + chlorine, cracking conditions, alkene and steam/water, etc.) and structural formulas (isomers), rate of reaction, habers and contact process, acids and bases (rxns), enthalpy change and ESPECIALLY redox! If you want, brush through your electrolysis, atoms and metal reactivity). If you guys have any tips for physics P3 plz share 🙂
ummm… sorrry but what is enthalpy change…??
thanks tho… 🙂
Its just that exothermic and endothermic chapter 🙂 and thanks for the physics thing btw!! Good luck! if you have eng lit on Monday, gd luck fr that too :(p
thanks and no i dont take literature and no prob for phy 🙂 good luck if YOU have lit on Monday ;P
focus on the hooke’s law
energy and stuff
pressure(liquid and solids)
the gas laws( presure law–P/T=constant….boyl’s law–PT=constant…charles’ law–V/T=constant…Gas law–PV/T=constant… where V=volume, P=pressure and T=temperature)
moments(and uses)
transferof kinetic to potential energy
Brownian motion
bi-metallic strips
adv and disadv of alcohol and mercury thermometer
thermocouple
thermal capacity (specific and non-specific)
properties of waves
elctromagnetic spectrum
critical angle
ray diagram (if sm1 generous could help me at this)
uses of radioactive elemants
Half-life of radioactive elements
centre of mass
dispersion of light
deflection of alpha gamma and beta in magnetic field and current
penetration caused by the alpha gamma and beta radiation
the whole of elctricity and magnetism but focus more on ac and dc generator/motor
latent heat (specific or non-specific)
Hope this helps… 🙂
this was phy p1 and 3
I believe that one of the most important topics is organic chemistry so make sure you focus on that! Do pastpapers as well and read the mark scheme after completing it, you can learn stuff from the markscheme! I also think that it’s more important to focus on the last chapters including contact process and haber process extraction of metals reversible reactions rates of reaction and electricity but if you have time you should surely revise the first chapters! Chemistry is really easy so don’t worry and goodluck
make sure u go through the syllabus and revise the whole course thoroughly cuz that works for me !! 🙂 and if u get time solve some papers
thanks.. 🙂
thanks
🙂
SAME HERE
I was wondering if it is required that you obtain an A in each component (paper) of a subject in order to get an A* as your final grade? Or can you get an A* without getting an A in some of the components?
This question is for the IGCSE Team
Thanks
An (A) in all components may not even get you the( A) since it is usually low like in biology ( paper 3) for example , however you can calculate it by adding up your mark on each component and making it out of the syllabus mark which is for example in biology 200 , so if you do not get in an( A) in any component it will be really hard to get an (A) for the final grade
