In 2008 Oct/Nov the minimum mark to get an A was about 86.
I am worried
last year, for an A* you needed 95%… and the paper was average
Well, my teacher was telling me that they’re high because it’s a ‘prestigious subject’ and CIE probably believes that those who do it are geniuses..i mean for a tough subject like that getting an A* should be one hell of an achievement so i guess that’s why they make it high.

Yea… What Freddie said was right… If thresholds would be low, add math would not be considered as a hard subject and people who get A* are considered really intelligent

Hi Pele,
You have to contact the respective university and ask them for their grade threshold. Then you will be able to convert yourself. Or, just submit your result and application, then they will convert by themselves.

I have appeared for IGCSE 2015 MAY JUNE and my ADD Math (0606) yet to get over..
My school wants me to select the subjects for A Level now..So I am a bit confused with the two Mathematics subjects– 1.MATHEMATICS (9709) and 2.MATHEMATICS FURTHER (9231).
Could you please help me ..Which Mathematics should I take ??
